Tutor
I attend Oxford University for Economics and Management, and acheived A*(Further Maths) A*(Maths) A (Law) A (Physics) in my A levels. I have over 200 hours of tutoring experience in 5 A levels - with a 5* rating over 30 students. My most notable improvement was an E grade at Year 13 mocks to an A grade in the final exam for Mathematics. My lessons are aimed at being engaging and personal. This helps students to really enjoy the lessons, and to develop a passion for the subject. Also, they are back-and-forth. I dont just teach at my students, (they have enough of this at school), i actively ask them questions and give them hints and responses to push their understanding of the subject, so that they dont just learn a process to answer a question, they learn the why that underlies the question. My lessons also aim to develop my students confidence in the subject and in general. I like to learn about the students other interests - to link them into the lessons, to provide a more interesting overall package. The personalisation of my lessons is also very important. For example, if i had a student that struggled with concentration, I would actively have them talk my through the question more, or use different techniques to enagage them more. If i had a student that learned better with an independent approach to questions, and only being pushed to go further when they need it, i would implement a more laid back style. This is my and my lessons summarised, and I hope to speak to you soon!
