Remote GCSE and A-LEVEL Maths/science tutor
I am a medical student with over three years of tutoring experience, specialising in GCSE and A-Level Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Having successfully navigated these exams myself and continued into medical school, I understand both the subject content and the skills needed to achieve top grades. My teaching focuses on helping students master exam technique as well as content knowledge. Through extensive experience analysing mark schemes, examiner reports, and past papers, I have developed a strong understanding of exactly what examiners are looking for and how students can maximise their marks in assessments. I tailor lessons to each student’s needs, whether they require support with difficult concepts, structured revision, or targeted exam preparation. My approach is patient, engaging, and results-driven, with an emphasis on building confidence and independent problem-solving skills. Whether you’re aiming to improve your grades, prepare for upcoming exams, or secure top marks, I can provide personalised support to help you reach your academic goals.
Tutor of English KS1 - KS5; SEN; SEMH; ESOL; EFL
I’m an experienced English teacher and tutor with over 20 years’ experience working with students of all ages and abilities, from Year 1 phonics through to GCSE, iGCSE and A-Level. I spent 16 years teaching in secondary schools, including as Head of Key Stage 3, and now work full-time as an online tutor supporting students in English Language, Literature, phonics, ESOL/EFL, SEN and SEMH. My teaching style is warm, encouraging and tailored to each individual child. I believe confidence is just as important as academic progress, and I aim to make lessons engaging, supportive and enjoyable while still building strong skills and clear progress. I have experience helping students who are anxious, lacking confidence, struggling academically, or aiming for top grades. I am also an experienced exam preparation tutor and examiner, with detailed knowledge of GCSE exam boards including AQA, Edexcel and iGCSE specifications.
Backend Software Engineer
I’m a Maths, Physics and Computer Science tutor with a First Class degree in Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence from King’s College London. I’ve been tutoring for over two years, helping students from primary school up to A-Level improve their understanding, confidence, and exam performance. My teaching style is structured but relaxed - I like to break difficult concepts down into clear, logical steps and then practice them together through questions so students really understand how and why things work. With my background in software engineering, I’m particularly good at explaining complex ideas in a simple, practical way. My goal in every lesson is to make challenging topics feel manageable and help students build the confidence to tackle problems independently.
History student
I am a highly accomplished GCSE History achiever with a strong command of both historical content and examination technique. I provide structured, insightful guidance that enables students to master complex historical themes while developing the analytical precision required for all grades responses. My teaching focuses not only on deepening subject knowledge across all papers, but also on breaking down exam structures, demonstrating exactly where and how marks are awarded, and refining the skills examiners look for in different level answers. Through clear methodology, strategic exam preparation, and detailed understanding of mark schemes, I help students approach GCSE History with confidence, accuracy, and academic sophistication
Pharmacy Student
My lessons are really straightforward and focused on helping you understand the content rather than just memorising it. I follow the GCSE specification closely, break down each topic in a clear and simple way, and use lots of exam‑style questions so you can see exactly how to apply the content. I know the mark schemes well so I make sure you learn how to phrase answers in the way examiners want, not just what the textbook says. I got a 9 in GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics and have a strong foundation in the subjects. Overall, my lessons are interactive, structured, and designed to help you properly understand the content — because that’s the real key to getting top grades.

Maths tutor
Hi, I'm George and I am a student studying for a degree in biochemistry at The university of Hull. With my tutoring, each lesson, the student will receive the support they need to reach their goals, along with being appropriately challenged to remain engaged. From tutoring my brother throughout his GCSEs and tutoring many more students since, I have learnt that an understanding and patient demeanour can create an atmosphere of comfortabilty and confidence. In terms of what a session would look like, it would begin with various questions from topics previously covered, in order to test the recall of the student. Following this we would move onto new content with in depth explanations and relevant questions throughout. Towards the end of the session we will do a brief summary on what we have covered along with questions ranging in difficulty to determine the progress made. Finally me and the student will have a discussion as to where we both think they could improve and if there is anything they would like to lightly recap or potentially have another session on.
