Neil Hedge

I’m a qualified teacher with over 10 years of tutoring experience and around 8,000 hours of live teaching. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and have taught Maths, English, Science, entrance examinations and English as a second language to students from primary level through to A level and adulthood. My lessons are calm, structured and adapted to the individual student. I break difficult topics into manageable steps, use regular checks for understanding and help students develop both confidence and independence. For exam students, I combine strong subject knowledge with past-paper practice, exam technique and targeted feedback. I’m patient, encouraging and reliable, and I work particularly well with students who feel anxious, lack confidence or need additional structure. My aim is always to make lessons supportive and engaging while helping each student achieve clear, measurable progress.
