Leston D'Costa

Hi I'm Leston, a medical student with a passion for helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals. Before studying medicine, I completed a degree in Economics with Finance, giving me a strong analytical background alongside my scientific studies. I have over six years of tutoring experience, teaching students from across the English and Scottish curriculums. Throughout this time, I have helped students improve their understanding of maths, prepare effectively for exams, and achieve excellent results. I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to their individual needs, whether they require support with the fundamentals, help tackling challenging topics, or guidance to reach their target grades. Outside of my studies, I enjoy staying active through sport. I regularly play football, tennis and cricket, and I also enjoy long-distance running, having completed three marathons. I also love to travel! My lessons are friendly, patient and engaging, creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My aim is not only to improve grades but also to develop confidence, problem-solving skills and a genuine understanding of maths that will benefit students long after their exams.
